Life in the Universe

Astronomy 6 --- Spring 2004

DRL A4 T/Th 1.30-3.00pm

Instructor: David E. Trilling

Welcome to Life in the Universe. In this class, we will discuss and learn about the origin and evolution of life and the search for life in the Universe (including on Earth and on other planets and moons of the Solar System). We will discuss topics in physics, chemistry, biology, geology, and astronomy which are related to Astrobiology and the search for life in the Universe. I'm looking forward to our adventure together!

Review/discussion sections are held every Monday 2.30-3.30pm (DRL 4C6) and Wednesday 1.30-2.30pm (DRL 4E19). Feel free to come for as much or as little of these times as you want. My office hours are Tuesdays 3-5pm.

Follow along with the Mars Rovers!

NEW! At long last I have finished and posted the final exam scores (the average score was 68) and the final course scores and grades. The final was overall fine -- I graded it hard. Some people missed some things they shouldn't have, but generally I was more or less pleased with what you learned this semester.

Feel free to email me to find out your scores.

Thanks everyone and have a great summer! (5 May 2004)

NEW! Did someone leave a brown jacket in the exam room this morning? I have it in my office. (30 April 2004)
